Riding Lessons

Greenwell offers a comprehensive equestrian program including a horseback riding program with lessons for riders at least seven years of age. Greenwell also offers a Therapeutic Riding Program designed for individuals age seven and older with developmental, physical, or emotional challenges.

The TRP is a Center Member of PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship). PATH International’s mission is to ensure excellence and change lives through equine-assisted activities and therapies. Greenwell’s TRP is based on the principles and methods of PATH International.

Jennifer Emmart, Director of Equestrian Programs at the Greenwell Foundation, holds a PATH certification.

Riding lessons are offered in 8 week sessions. Each session consists of 8 lessons, one per week. Lessons are offered in a group setting or in a private session.

Our riding lesson program now offers new opportunities such as using our new Sensory Trail, trail riding as riders are capable, and using the obstacle course. We have also added new types of in-arena lessons.

We can offer adults only lessons. Simply choose ‘private lesson’ or make a note that you want to ride with other adults when registering.
