Weekend Teen Program – Survival Skills

Greenwell’s monthly, teen program gives high school teens the chance to: learn new skills that foster nature connection, gain a sense of empowerment and independence, and feel a sense of belonging by bonding during activities & fireside meals.

This program is inclusive to teens with disabilities.

Weekends start Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and run until Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

We are looking for teens who are interested in…

  • Survival and primitive skills
  • Games & activities that lead to more sensory awareness and stress reduction
  • Being inclusive
  • Outside adventures
  • Gaining confidence in the ability to feel at home in the woods and become more independent
  • Team-building
  • Being yourself and having conversations about things that matter
  • Leadership abilities
  • Noticing gifts and passions in yourself and others
  • Being challenged in ways that show how powerful you truly are
  • Sleeping under the stars or in a tent

If this list sparks your curiosity, you may be a great match for the Greenwell Foundation’s first ever monthly, weekend teen program!

Do you have what it takes to overcome the challenges of learning new skills and camping outside during the winter months?

We think you do!

See our FAQs to find out how.

The more weekends you attend, the more likely you will gain skills that we will look for in Camp Buddies and Counselors next summer. You will also learn a variety of new activities that can feel rewarding to offer to campers. It can be very rewarding to offer these unique skills to others.
