Greenwell is known as a great place to bring kids, but we also offer a lot of programming for adult groups of all ages and abilities. From team building workshops to kayaking trips to equestrian programs, we can work with your group to create the perfect nature-based experience. All of our field trips and nature adventures are available in 1-hour, 2-hour and 4-hour formats. You can also combine multiple experiences together to create a longer day. Contact us to learn more!
Mindful Meadow Time
Are you looking for a beautiful place to run a meditation or yoga class surrounded by pygmy goats? Want to plan a team building retreat for your company that everyone is sure to love? Our Mindful Meadow can be rented out a location for your own program and/or can be used as a venue where our experienced staff can run exciting and educational activities or team building exercises for your group. Adult Kayaking Lessons
Kayaking at Greenwell is not just for kids! We love taking nature lovers of all ages out onto the water. Whether you want to do some early morning tidewater marsh exploration with your nature club or want to bring your closest friends or family members on a relaxing field trip, we can help! All of our adult kayaking lessons and trips include a 30-minute safety lesson and an American Canoe and Kayak Association certified kayak instructor to lead you along the shores of the Patuxent River. We provide; kayaks, life jackets, and paddles. Just bring a bottle of water and wear sunscreen. No previous experience required!
Greenwell’s horses are always a hit, but many people do not know about the wide range of adult equestrian programs we offer to groups throughout the year. From organized trail rides and carriage rides to non-riding horse-centered programs, we can work with your organization, club or friends/family group to plan a day you will all remember. Let your group’s spirit of adventure run free on one of our guided (or self-guided!) nature hikes. We have trails that accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
