Summer Camp

The Greenwell Foundation’s camp programs are outdoor day camps designed to be fun, adventurous and provide opportunities for all campers to make new friends and experience new things.

Our highly trained staff and volunteers work to ensure that every activity is adapted to meet the needs of ALL campers by ensuring that all participate and all belong. This inclusive environment creates the best platform for fun, self-discovery, happiness and making new friends.

Safety is crucial at camp; sunscreen and water breaks are taken frequently to prevent sunburn and weather related guidelines and procedures are closely followed. We follow the American Camp Association accreditation standards to create a safe environment for all children to play and have a fun camp experience.

After all, fun is the ultimate goal!

Camp Dates

Camp Hours:

Our camps run from 8:00am – 3:00pm.

Extended Care:

We offer optional extended care.
Extended Care Hours:  3:00pm-5:30pm

Extended Care Fees:

$50 per week (preregistered online)

Extended Care Late Fees: $1.00 per minute per camper

Drop-In Extended Care: If something comes up and you need to add extended care, you may do so for  $15 per day.  You must call the office at 301-373-9775 prior to the end of the camp day (3:00pm) to add extended care for that day. Extended Care late fees of $1.00 per minute per camper after 5:30pm.

Late Fees (without Extended Care): The camp day ends at 3:00pm. If your child is not picked up by 3:00pm, and no arrangements have been made to add Drop-In Extended Care, we will enroll your child(ren) in the Drop-In Extended Care session for that day and charge $15 to your account. Extended Care late fees of $1.00 per minute per camper after 5:30pm.

 

Other Important Things to Know!

Session Transfer Fee: If you must change your registration you will be charged a transfer fee of $25.00 per transfer/per camper.

Withdrawals/Refunds: Prior to June 1, 2022, campers can receive a full refund, less a $25 processing fee per session/per camper if requested in writing to the Foundation’s Executive Director (PO Box 198 Hollywood, MD 20636). No refunds will be issued after June 1, 2022 for any reason.

Waiting List
If a camp is full, the registration system will allow you to join a waiting list. We will contact you if a space becomes available. There is no charge to join a waiting list.

Greenwell Foundation camps are made possible in part thanks to the financial support of individuals, organizations and businesses. The Greenwell Foundation is an independent entity, funded solely by program fees, donations, gifts, grants, sponsorships and rental revenue.
