Greenwell’s Commitment to Veterans
Greenwell is committed to serving the Veterans who are a part of our community. We have served Charlotte Hall Veterans home for several years, and we took horses up to the home for a quarantine visit complete with masks and physical distancing.
We have arranged charter boat fishing trips, provided Horse Connection sessions, and sent Veteran’s children to summer camp with scholarships.
Our Tiny Home continues to house a Vet as well.
Farms in Focus: Equine Edition
The Southern Maryland Agricultural Development Commission (SMADC) just posted a new video in their “Farms in Focus” video series. The “Farms in Focus: Equine Edition” runs 5:56 long and showcases Greenwell horses, staff and riders. We were so excited to be included in this spotlight! Watch Jenn Emmart, Manasa Iswara and Savannah Dobbins talk about what Greenwell and our equestrian program mean to them.

Greenwell’s Fisherman Phil Receives President’s Volunteer Service Award
Phil and the Southern Maryland Recreational Fishing Organization have volunteered their time, their expertise and their boats to Greenwell’s summer Fishing Camps for years, introducing area children to the excitement of fishing and encouraging a new generation of enthusiasts! They were highlighted recently in the Enterprise for their continued volunteer service for our local veteran’s. They provided veteran’s an opportunity to spend the day fishing on the Patuxent River.
